They broke a sort of code for what women should be like by wearing excessive makeup, drinking, treating sex in a casual manner, smoking, and driving automobiles. The flappers had odd behaviors and fashions that were not suitable for their time period. The flappers were rebellious and defiant.
The Style and Fashion for Men
The Men of the 1920's wore short suit jackets and long old jackets. In the early 1920's their trousers were worn narrow, straight, and short so a man's socks could be seen. The trousers were then being cuffed. By 1925, wide trousers came into fashion. The normal waist jackets came back and sleeves were worn more baggy. The men also had a wider variety of sports wear during the 1920's. Men usually began wearing hats but it depended on their social class.
